I don't know if this is something deviantart has added when they launched eclipse or not, but today I discovered the deviantart only lets you block so many people. A while back I've found a way to make life easier on myself is to preemptively block awful people I come across so I never have to worry about seeing their posts/images or having them come and harass me. It's helped my mental health a lot to do so rather than try to ever engage with people who are being jerks. Thus, I am baffled as to why deviantart would put a limit on this. My only guess is that it's to try and stop someone from going on a spree of leaving people hateful comments on people's pages and then blocking them after? If that's the case, maybe deviantart should actually have a convenient option to report comments and users instead of punishing people who just want to browse in peace. I already barely post to this site because so many of the faves I get come from creepers or sometimes even racists and shit. It makes me feel pretty lousy about my art so I've mostly just posted my game design work to give it more visibility. Learning about the block limit has me even less interested in posting art here.
For those who don't know, I've been self-quarantining for almost a year now, and don't currently have medical insurance. What money I do have is reserved for covering rent and bills, and I'm running low on my HRT medication. Any donations would be greatly appreciated, thank you. ❤
